People who are best at everything have a coach. Tiger Woods has a golfing coach. No one is good as him, but he still wants to grow. We have to grow as human beings, and here you will be forced to. If you want more out of your act and comedy career, ask yourself, “How much will I gain if I continue to do the same things I have been doing?”
At Creative License you will start seeing how easy it is to do less and gain more. You will learn what areas you are keeping yourself from progressing. You will discover how to see the opportunity in every single thing and person around you. You will maximize your time by going over your act continually with headliners until you KNOW you are ready. Right when your act is in peak condition, we top it all off with a killer showcase where the public and industry can see who you really are.
DAY 1. WATCH, LISTEN, ASK
Immerse yourself in the REAL world of standup comedy while Louie Anderson, Kyle Cease and many other comics and professionals in the industry will explain the real psychology of taking your game to a way higher level. If you have been to Stand-up Boot Camp’s Conquering The Stage, you know it’s intense, but imagine more days, more time to focus on YOU, and longer hours all taking you to a very advanced level. Creative License will both open your mind while at the same time help you shut out the doubting, questioning destructive side. You will learn how to trust your instincts, truly control and shift an audience, sell more tickets, enjoy the process of being on stage and talk from your heart. You will also discover how many out of the box other ideas you could have for your career. We will tap into what your other passions are and show you how to create something new with that passion and how to do what you love and profit off of it.
DAY 2. Break OUTS.
Different headliners and bookers break into different areas of the room. Students run their acts with each headliner in small intimate group settings. Headliners throw notes to help tighten, strengthen, tone and define your story, your set and your confidence. At any point, students can rotate to another group. This way, they are getting personal notes on their sets constantly from different perspectives of experience. This type of coaching is priceless. Sometimes just one little shift can change your entire destiny.
DAY 3. Critique and Showcase.
Now that you have all these new ideas, connection and growth, we see what you have learned. Go up in front of everyone. Be seen by your fellow classmates while Kyle, Louie and others give you final notes to tighten what you have done. This is also a great opportunity to be seen, make connections and who knows what else. In these moments, many students got the connections to do many more clubs, colleges, corporate, open for legendary comics, or even get on TV. If you are successful, we are successful, so we do everything we can to help you, get to a higher level, and if you are ready, get work.
That night, showcase your talent.
At the end of day 3, we would like to showcase your amazing talent. We open doors for the public, and we invite agents, producers, TV and movie executives, radio show hosts and more to see your amazing talent.
You never, ever know what could happen after this. Unlimited things are possible. Remember, other comedians, and bookers who want to help you and want to work with you also surround you. You are now part of a community, making this a much more than a 3-day event. All that matters is how bad do you want it. This is a very rare opportunity and it is not offered anywhere else.
